Had an issue with the AC and the staff was rude while I reporting the issue. The phone in the room was not working and had to go down to the reception twice to report the issue. The staff was not that welcoming nor very guest friendly.

Disappointing Stay – Poor Service and Faulty Amenities

Our experience at Value Hotel Balestier was extremely disappointing and it significantly spoiled our trip to Singapore. Upon check-in, we found that multiple room facilities were not working — the TV, air-conditioner, telephone, and kettle were either non-functional or worked intermittently. Despite multiple reminders and follow-ups with the reception, the staff failed to resolve these issues during our entire stay. The TV and AC would work sometimes and stop suddenly, making the room uncomfortable and frustrating to stay in. To make things worse, we were charged for a late checkout, which is completely unacceptable considering the poor service and lack of basic amenities. I would not recommend staying at Value Hotel Balestier. Their unresponsive service and broken facilities do not justify the price or even a budget stay. A completely unprofessional and unpleasant experience.
