I booked a room at the Le Suffren Hotel and Marina in Mauritius with a check-in on October 2nd and a check-out on October 3rd. The hotel was rated as a 4-star establishment in your app, but unfortunately, it not meet boutique hotel expectations.
The hotel room we received was very basic and did not compare to a boutique hotel. There were concerns about security; our room was located at ground level near the dining area, making it accessible to anyone walking by. Although there was supposed to be an access control door, it was not functioning properly.
Additionally, we had booked the room with half-board, which included dinner. However, when we went to the dining restaurant, we were shocked by the limited options available on the buffet menu. The selection consisted of steamed rice, beef, chicken curry, and there were no starters or other choices. The dessert option was merely cake, and the salad counter offered only a few unhygienic vegetables. To make matters worse, there was no water available at our table.
When I raised my concerns with the hotel management, the manager suggested ordering from the à la carte menu. We ordered rice with chicken curry and paneer, but it took over an hour for our food to arrive. By then, my son had fallen asleep at the table, and we were extremely tired as well.
I hope you can take this feedback into consideration to help improve the experiences of future guests.
I would like to request a refund of it, as it has been quite distressing. Our trip was marred by several issues, including mental harassment due to the poor customer service we encountered. Additionally, the food at the hotel did not meet acceptable hygiene standards, which raised concerns about our health and safety. Overall, the quality of our stay was far below what was promised, and I believe a refund is warranted given the circumstances. Thank you for addressing this matter promptly.
