Splendid Star grand hotel and spa

No access to car. We had to walk at least 250 meters from where we were dropped with heavy baggage. Otherwise Location is very good. There is no lift in one building so we had to climb up and down up to 6 floors 3 times for 3 days. Rooms are good, food is OK, staff very nice. Had lots of difficulty with due to difficult access since we had old parents with disabilities

We had a horrible experience especially to reach the hotel and to reach the room.Hotel is not accessible by car no other way you can reach the hotel except walking at least 300 meters carrying all your heavy luggage. We booked 3 rooms for family including old parents one of them needs a wheelchair. We had to literally lift her from the road to hotel then lift her to enter inside as the hotel entrance is higher up with many steps.then again to reach their room There’s no lift in one of the block where one room was allotted and 3 of us had to climb 6 floors up and down many times for 3 days. The parents got stuck in the room and couldn’t go out because every time we can’t lift and carry and whole 3 days were spoiled. This hotel is overpriced and over rated and the pictures given are non realistic. Rooms are OK food is reasonable. Don’t book this hotel especially if you are travelling with family with unhealthy people. Overpriced and overrated hotel

Great stay. Right in the middle of old quarter and walking distance from major tourist spots and eating places. We were 2 backpacking friends traveling together to hanoi. Typhoon yogi hit hanoi on the next day we arrived. The hotel staff was very courteous, accommodating, caring and helpful throughout. The breakfast options are great and there is something for everyone including vegetarian options. Mr peter, the receptionist was super kind and helpful! thank you for the great experience!

Location, amenities, services and food is excellent. More friendly staff and good guidance for tourists.

The hotel staff was very nice, caring and supportive. The hotel location was very approachable and near to all tourism spots. The staff ms. Rose and mr. Dong even helped me with cab to airport.

Rooms were good and clean. Friendly staff. Food options for vegetarian were not available except fruits. Should accommodate that as well.

We reached the location around 3 am in the morning at the hotel we got to know that room were under maintenance and hotel staff informed us to check in to their sister hotel which was almost 800 meters away from the booked hotel, till den we had to walk at 3 am. Next day we came back to the booked hotel n had to wait for too long check in, to compensate for inconvenience they upgraded to the family room. Family room was good which was of no use to us, breakfast was gud

Extremely bad hotel, hygiene level maintained zero, dirty n torned bed sheets, broken tap sink n toilet dirty. No space for shower as wc is attached

Terrible experience with hotel all the more amazed to see response from team. Not resolving the issue . Not recommend any booking. They are partnered with wrong hotels to loot people

Location was mid of hanoi city but not access directly by car. Others things good. Taxi book through hotels were very genuine

Very average stay. Pros: amazing location. Cons: the ac was dripping. The food was bad, and didn’t have any names written to indicate what’s what. No elevator. Extremely tiny bathroom.

Just opposite st joseph cathedral which is in the heart of district 1 and a fun place to be. But be aware that there are three properties cluster which goes by splendid acronym in the same location. We booked splendid star grand suite but were checked in splendid pearl with no lift, but much better view of the action going on at the cathedral. Room was decent big with all facilities you require. Beware of hot and cold water in the taps. Needs getting used to. Food was a good spread but for us indians there was a limited choice if you do not take beef and pork. Supply of complementary bottled drinking water was abundant which is a rarity in vietnam. Be informed that car will not directly come at the doorstep of hotel, but will need to walk an alley to get on to it. Not a deal breaker. This area us the place to be in hanoi

There was no lift in the hotel. The intercom wasn't working, the hair dryer wasn't not working. The hotel stuff wasn't helpful at all. After complaining, they didnt took any initiative to repair the intercom. We got our room at 6 th floor, but there was no lift. It was a horrible experience for us.

Even though it was a short stay, the overall experience was good. The breakfast is good with great options at this price. The location however is not the best. The staffs were very helpful though.

The place is entirely misleading. Hotel has multiple branches and this shows images of a different branch here which is different from what we got. It has very small rooms with bad interiors. Even the stairs between floor was a metal one put in place. The lobby and breakfast area was nothing like published as well. The rooms had no view and windows were mostly opening to a wall

The room they allotted was different not as i booked. Room had service problems. Fidge not worked till the checkout. Kettle was not available for two days and when available it was not clean. Can not book it again.
