Hey guys, just to share some experience being in anantara al yam m villa and resort. 1. The location itself is fantastic, if you are looking for peaceful and quiet place. We stayed in al yam m villa with beach swimming pool. The villa itself is ok for 2 adults and 2 kids, cos we spent all days in the swimming pool or at the sea. If you consider swimming in the sea, take swimming shoes along as it’s has rocky, so to avoid any injury or cuts. Also keep in the mind that the pool temperature was quite cold when we arrived, so we asked right away to increased it. (frankly talking if you will make it around 32-33 celsius it will be ok even during day time and you will enjoy even at night) 2. Housekeeping was awesome, we had 2 times daily, where everything was changed from towels to slippers. Everything was there, all day. Even bottles of waters were filled 2 times daily, so you don’t need to call and ask for extra. 3. While we were being in june, it was quite hot to walk from villa to the reception, so you can order gulf club, but you will have to wait at least 30 min, so be prepared. 4. Room service: whenever we ordered food, you will get not earlier than in 1. 5 hour, even we were told that it will take 30-40min (never happened) so get ready, especially if you are with kids, place an order minimum 1, 5 hour before you will decide to eat. 5. Funny things: restaurant oli 1st day of arrival and having a dinner over there. Everything was fantastic unless f&b manager was over there. Lovely guy, very polite and dedicated to his job. 2nd day: f&b manger wasn’t in restaurant. We have order 2 simple drinks, mojito and draft beer. Draft beer, i have received in 1. 5 hour and we never received mojito. We have ordered also simple meals, club sandwich and salad where we’ve got it in 1. 5 hour with some excuses that they have many guests (keep in the mind that restaurant could fit maximum 50 people and there was still some tables available) so if 30 guest could make them so much busy that you have to wait for your food and drinks for 1. 5 hour in the restaurant, what will happened when restaurant will have full seating!
2nd day leaving restaurant (at 08:30pm) with disappointed mood, we ordered 2 cola and basket of ice to our villa, which we didn’t receive. So, guys, my personal advise if your food was delayed or prepared over than 30 minutes, that’s the sign that you have to sit on the staff to get it or just forget about it, but yes that should not happened in 5 stars hotel, and especially in anantara. So all in all, the getaway location is marvelous, especially with kids, but service in restaurant has to be so much improved by either to train stuff or hire more people, cos its spoiling entire impression about the hotel.
