I was initially unsure about booking Heeton, given its modest ratings However, I eventually booked two rooms. After staying here, I feel this hotel could be rated 4.5 — but it falls short due to a few key issues that affect the guest experience.
1. Room Readiness & Cleanliness:
Despite booking the rooms from the previous day to avoid early check-in issues, we were given a room filled with mosquitoes (around 10–15). After an overnight flight and a 2.5-hour drive from Bangkok to Pattaya, this was extremely frustrating — especially for a tired family of five including an infant. A room change was only arranged after 30 minutes.
2. Lack of Hospitality During Issues:
When a guest faces inconvenience, a little gesture goes a long way. No manager or senior staff member approached us to apologise or even take feedback. That simple interaction could have salvaged a lot — and earned an extra star from me.
3. Reception & Waiting Area Comfort:
The reception area is open and without air conditioning — a serious discomfort in Pattaya’s hot and humid climate. Even some fans or coolers would help ease the experience for waiting guests.
4. Room & Bathroom Design:
Rooms don’t have wardrobes — which immediately gives a 3-star feel rather than the 4-star classification they claim.
Bathroom floors are extremely slippery. Avoid using the provided bathroom slippers; they make things worse. The hotel should invest in anti-skid tiles.
The bathroom sliding doors with unsightly latches feel like an afterthought in design.
Positives:
The food deserves a 4/5.Staff politeness is impeccable — 5/5.The hotel mostly accommodates families, which keeps the atmosphere peaceful.
While many of the shortcomings could be overlooked, welcoming guests — especially those with infants — into a mosquito-filled room is unacceptable. And not taking feedback or showing concern compounds the problem. That’s exactly where they lose that vital 1-star.
