NH Bentota Ceysands Resort

The resort has a fantastic location with beautiful views, which really makes the stay memorable. Food quality was decent, though the variety could definitely be improved. Rooms were just average, and the overall quality of amenities and products felt a bit underwhelming. The property itself has potential, but it would benefit from better upkeep and maintenance.

I had a wonderful and truly memorable stay at this property. The location is excellent, with easy access to popular attractions and all essential amenities. What makes this place stand out is its unique feature – every time you step in or out of the hotel, you travel by boat across a beautiful lake, which adds a magical and one-of-a-kind experience to the stay. The only drawback I noticed was the food options – as a vegetarian, had almost limited to non existing options. However, the overall charm of the property, with its breathtaking setting between a lake/river and the sea, more than makes up for it. This hotel offers great value, comfort, and a truly unique atmosphere. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable and hassle-free holiday. And it has indian restaurants nearby which makes up for the only negative thing that i pointed out..

We had a comfortable stay with the family at the NH Bentota. The AirCon was a bit slow however the bathroom and bed were comfortable. The food in Sri Lanka is always a bit challenging for vegetarians especially for Jains like me.

I was there for 2 nights with my wife and kid. Location of the hotel is excellent as one side is surrounded by river and the other by beach. They upgraded our room and gave us a pool facing room. Overall i enjoyed the stay very much and would recommend it to anyone visiting bentota.

I stayed at NH Bentota Ceysands Resort from August 14 to 16, and it was a fantastic experience. The location is truly unique, with the river on one side and the ocean on the other, creating a peaceful and scenic atmosphere. Arriving by boat to the property was special and added to the charm. The staff were warm, attentive, and always ready to help, making us feel welcome throughout the stay. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and very clean, with a beautiful view that made mornings even better. The resort facilities were excellent—the pool was well-maintained, and direct beach access made it easy to enjoy the sea. The food was another highlight, with a wide spread at breakfast and delicious Sri Lankan and international options. Overall, it was the perfect mix of relaxation, good service, and natural beauty. Highly recommended for both families and couples. I would definitely return on my next trip to Sri Lanka.

The stay was so beautiful and lovely. The hotel property in itself is very amazing. Indian Veg options are also there in breakfast and they are good enough. Rest the private beach, pool, rooms etc are really beautiful. Must stay property.

I stayed for 4 days and I really loved the property. We had a great holiday thanks to NH Bentota. It's well maintained, well managed property with a hospitable staff. Multiple food options are also available, including vegetarian options which made it easy for us.

Accommodation and facilities are below par, food is terrible including the breakfast buffet. A no go with Children

We went Nh Bentota on the 3rd day of our trip after staying in Taj and Radisson. Price is almost comparable but hospitality is to be improved a lot. Pros- Pool is amaazing, large and scenic. Rooms are good sized and good condition. Good location. Water activities available on property. Cons- untrained management, silly rules - (only 1 L free water per day, pool towels require special cards, not to be taken to room), Main con- travelling as a family, and we were very excited about the play area which is advertised in the description. But the play area closes by 5 PM itself so boring for kids at night.

Pl don’t go to this hotel. It’s not a guest friendly hotel at all . The front office staff is very rude. All those vegetarians pl don’t go by what they have written , there is no veg food options .

Overall it was a good stay, The property location is very good with the beach on one side and the river on the other side. Hotels need to improve on room maintenance and food, staff could be trained to do better.

Property is right on the beach and is full of amenities. Food is very good however service is slightly slow. Highlight of the stay is the boat ride to hotel from the reception point and the service is available 24*7

very nice beach resort with a unique water-locked location. a river flowing on one side and the ocean on the other side. good ambience, pleasant staff and very good scenic beauty of Sri lanka. only downside is that we have to have all meals at the hotel with limited access to other place. but if you are planning to just enjoy the beach then options for food are aplenty at the resort with 3 different restaurants and a wide range of options in their buffet. overall a wonderful experience

We stayed at this hotel for two nights during our trip to Sri Lanka. The location and amenities are awesome as are the views from the hotel. The service is very good and staff is very helpful. The food and beverage are also excellent with wide choices in different restaurants. The breakfast spread is varied and sumptuous. The team at Cafe Bem needs special mention for their professional service and helping attitude. We found the services provided by Suranjith,Sachindu,Chamith, Rachitha and Sandali par excellence. We will definitely love to stay here during our next trip to Sri Lanka. There are a few issues which can make the experience more pleasant, if addressed by the hotel. We faced booking issues due to miscommunication the hotel. This resulted in getting rooms which were not as per our booking. The categorisation of rooms are also misleading as Ocean View rooms are not actually so, especially if you get in ground floor or first floors. The can show a realistic view from these rooms. The staff is very helpful and did resolve our concerns for the second night, but it is a spoiler during a short holiday
