Great place for first time visitors to Athens

Philippos Hotel is an excellent place to stay while visiting Athens. It is located right around the corner from the New Acropolis Museum and dozens of great restaurants. A lot of interesting sights and venues are within 20 minutes walking distance, making it extremely convenient. More importantly, I was very impressed and grateful for the hospitality of the hotel staff. They were all very kind, patient, friendly and helpful, and assisted my wife and I without hesitation in exploring the city, booking a tour for us and making suggestions for various questions we had about Athens. They are all consummate professionals and I had a very pleasant stay here. Strongly recommend.

Excellent Stay

Very well located property. Very neat and clean. Decent spread for the break fast. Had good options for vegetarians. We were 3 of us, kid had a separate room with sliding door in between. Balcony, fridge and terrace had acropolis view. 5 mins walk to acropolis. Department store 2 mins away.

Overrated

I found this Hotel really over rated. Only thing good here is location. Rooms are very small and very dull. In one of the rooms cooling did not work and they did not fix even after complaining. Bathroom of one room was too small that you can not even sit properly on pot. Room had a damp smell. Breakfast very basic continental. No tea coffee arrangement in room but they do have an arrangement in lobby but overall not worth of money for two rooms for one night. I felt cheated.

A great place on a budget

Me and my wife stayed here for 2 days. The place is not easy to reach and one has to climb up and down quite some stairs. Being 60 and 65 years old it was a bit of a challenge for us. We needed to call the hotel to figure out how to get there. Having said that, the hotel is in a beautiful perch and the views are breathtaking. I haven't stayed in a room with a better view and I have been all over the world. The amenities are basic and sufficient and the service is good. Out room was large, clean and very beautiful. Definitely a place to consider.

Philippos Hotel is an excellent place to stay while visiting Athens. It is located right around the corner from the New Acropolis Museum and dozens of great restaurants. More importantly, I was very impressed and grateful for the hospitality of the فيليبوس هوتل staff. They were all very kind, patient, friendly and helpful, and assisted my wife and I without hesitation in exploring the city, booking a tour for us and making suggestions for various questions we had about Athens. They are all consummate professionals and I had a very pleasant stay here. Strongly recommend.
