We were in Athena for a short visit. It was our first trip to Greece and we wanted to make in very special in every way possible. We chose Athena gate for our stay after Reading all good reviews about it. And we were impressed the moment we reached there. The warm welcome, greetings, immediately we felt at home. The rooms were clean, tidy, bathroom has a tub. Wardrobe and cozy sitting corner all were perfect. But then there were the curtain raiser, and bang what a view.. What a beautiful view from the window. But hold on the beat thing was yet to come. Next morning we went upstairs rooftop restaurant for breakfast and the view from top was mind blowing. The restaurant is aptly named as 360 degree. It actually offers a 360 degree surround view of beautiful Athena covering acropolis and hills and gate of hadrian. All glass wall gave you the full access to enjoy the view while you satisfy your taste buds with the sumptuous breakfast. The hotel is located very near to acropolis metro and beside a busy road which makes the roadside rooms a bit noisy but once you close balcony door and window, falling asleep in the comfy bed will be a quick affair. Also, the location is so prime that you can actually walk to every sightseeing spot. We got the room in a very reasonable rate as we booked through makemytrip while using a promo code. I generally don't think anywhere else than makemytrip while booking good hotels domestic or international as they have a good choice and offer a pretty good price. Thank you Athena gate. Thank you for making our stay ever memorable. Don't think about anywhere else, when in Athens just pick Athena gate for your stay and take back all good memories.
