Overall Impression: A mixed experience with significant drawbacks regarding room comfort and cleanliness, but a highly convenient location, especially for those interested in Indian amenities.
Pros:
* Excellent Location: Directly opposite Gare du Nord station, providing easy access to all parts of Paris for your 4-day trip.
* Proximity to Indian Amenities: Within a 5-minute walk of a 2-3 mile stretch of Indian grocery shops and restaurants, described as feeling like Hyderabad or Chennai.
* Daily Bedsheet Changes: The bedsheets were changed every day.
Cons:
* Extremely Small Room: Insufficient space to move around or store luggage.
* Rudeness of Night Manager: The hotel manager who checked you in at night was rude.
* Lack of Basic Amenities: No toiletries, glass, or cup provided in the room. The room was described as "too basic."
* Poor Floor Cleaning: The floor was not cleaned during your stay despite daily bedsheet changes.
* Problematic Bathroom Design: The bathroom was at a higher level than the room with no barrier to prevent shower water from flowing into the main room.
Recommendation for Indian Travelers:
* Book this hotel only if you have minimal luggage.
* Leverage the nearby stretch of Indian grocery shops and restaurants for familiar food and supplies. The room was too small. No space to turn around or keep luggage. The hotel manager who checked us in at night was rude. There were no toiletries provided in the room not even a glass or cup. too basic.
The good part was that it was just in front of the Gare Du Nord station . It helped us stay connected easily to all the places we visited in the 4 days in Paris.
The bedsheets were changed everyday, but the floor was not cleaned.
The bathroom was at a higher level height that the room with nothing to stop the water from flowing in to the room in case you take a shower.
for Indians travelling, book the hotel only if you have minimal luggage. There is a strech of almost 2 to 3 miles of Indian grocery shops and restaurants just within 5 mins walk from this hotel. While we did not try the food there but did walk around the area, it felt like being in Hyderabad or Chennai!
