Supreme property, perfect stay, small disappointment

The hotel and room were top-notch, though one incident left me disappointed. Starting with the positives — the service was exceptional, easily among the best I’ve experienced in 5-star hotels. As a Japan resident, I could clearly see the influence of Japanese hospitality throughout. The room was immaculate, spacious, and well-equipped, with a large bathtub and thoughtful touches like an umbrella in the wardrobe. The breakfast buffet was lavish — limited for vegetarians like me but a paradise for non-vegetarians. The only unpleasant experience was with the in-house ATM. When I first tried it, the machine returned my card. Later, a staff member accompanied me and inserted my card again, but this time it got stuck and wasn’t returned. The bank refused to send help until Monday, even though I was flying out Sunday night. While the staff did assist in contacting the bank, what disappointed me most was the complete lack of apology or acknowledgment from the hotel afterward — no gesture of regret from the staff or management, which felt below 5-star standards. Fortunately, I managed by exchanging yen at the hotel (at good rates) and using another card for payments. Despite that, this was still one of my best stays this year, and the positives far outweigh the negatives. I’d gladly stay here again.

Our stay was uneventful. Only negative point I found was the room entrance which went through the bathing area, a similar partition like dividing the room and bathing are could have been installed at the entrance too. The staff was friendly and courteous. Breakfast spread was very nice and with wide choice. Overall we enjoyed our stay.
