Manager Ali gave us very good rooms connected to eachother as we are family traveling. I called him in the morning on my way from amman to petra and sent my voucher on whatsapp. He kept the rooms ready for me on time. As i reached , i was given room keys quicklywhich i appreciate as sometimes some hotels keep you waiting. We enjoyed the interconnected rooms. The problem was with one of the bathrooms have some foul smell coming from the drain which took time for them to fix as first they denied it and then only sent cleaner who couldn’t fix it, then another guy with tool box came and worked on it for sometime and then the smell was reduced. There is some problem with the drainage and they should permanently fix it. Its a dated hotel with old furniture. Bedsheets are not really changed daily as i saw hair all over the bed and even a stain on the pillow. I told the manager but he was defensive. He takes it too personally. He did get the sheets changed that day. Manager is bit reluctant in accepting constructive criticism for improvement. He defends. But its ok because they put new sheets after that and he solved this problem. Abdullah at front desk was very nice to us. He guided us about petra travel. He is helpful when it comes to small issues in the rooms. Breakfast is not good at all, not much vegetarian options, no vegan options, no jain food options. People from all over the world visit petra, i think they should have a more diverse menu. There is lack of hospitality.
