Review Summary
Powered by Myra.AI
This property is a beautiful historic gem with over 200 years of charm, located right in the heart of Cork. Guests appreciate the friendly and helpful staff, spacious and clean rooms, and excellent breakfast options. The lively cocktail bar with live jazz adds to the vibrant atmosphere. Its prime location makes it a perfect base for exploring local attractions and shopping.
Poor show by The Imperial
The hotel has a very good location in the town centre. We had booked for five nights for a deluxe double room. For our entire stay, the TV didn't work, free WiFi in the room ( a standard feature everywhere in the world) was missing, the air conditioning did not work. Everyday we were assured these problems would be fixed but nothing was done. If hotels were run on empty promises, 'Imperial' would be king. For us, used to staying in luxury properties around the world, it was dismaying to have one off the best hotels in Cork come up so short on quality. The common areas were nice enough and the place has history and character but as a hotel it was barely above average. Very disappointing.
