Although, not in the center of Kathmandu, but Hotel Shambala Shambala is very much accessible to all the major attractions of Kathmandu. It had a very nice infinity pool on the top floor overlooking the mountains. The Hotel Shambala was very clean with nice aroma (thanks to an in-house spa) and a nice indoor and outdoor restaurant. They also gave good rates on foreign exchange and had all allied services (MT Everest flight, pokhra paragliding, etc) also through a very nice guy by name Ashish. A nice stay

The property was good. The view form the restaurant at the top floor with the pool is amazing. Though some renovation work is going on but still they have not compromised with services. Sammer at reception was very helpful and cordial along with the security staff.
