Excellent location. Our room was very clean with a spacious bathroom and shower. The extremely polite housekeeping staff did an excellent job. Our toiletries, coffee, tea, sugar and 2 bottles of free water were replaced daily. Very good value for money. The highlight was our delicious breakfast in the the rooftop bar which had amazing views of the mountains. The host couple were extremely helpful, engaged us in many long conversations about their nepalese/tibetan culture and helped us in organizing our day trips. Our total experience was amazing

Finding the Hotel Excelsior was a bit tricky because it was situated inside a lane where cabs couldn't go through. Room was clean, the staffs were polite and helpful. Food was really good. Breakfast was tasty, not a lot of variety though. My room was just across a bar that opened till late at night, so loud music could be heard from my room even after 12 midnight. Otherwise, I really did enjoy my stay here, and I got great discounts. Worth every penny.

Hotel is clean and hygienic. Local issue as taxi not allowed about 100 meters from Hotel Excelsior. Breakfast variety can be improved. Staff very courteous.

Had an amazing stay at the excelsior. Loved the location - next to commercial hub, best eateries, shopping, centre. . . Lip smacking local cuisine, pizzas. . . Rooms clean, hygienic, comfortable. . Service couldn't get any better with the wonderful and ever obliging hosts

The stay was comfortable and the staff was courteous. The roof top restaurant is excellent in terms of ambience and cocktails. The approach to the Hotel Excelsior is narrow and the taxis cannot reach the Hotel Excelsior in the evenings. We had to walk with luggage on the road to check in.
