Web check-in and verification
Malaysia Airlines, for the convenience of passengers, offers 4 check-in options:
- Web check-in
- Mobile check-in
- Counter check-in
- Self-service kiosk
The check-in counters close 60 minutes for international flights and 45 minutes for domestic flights, before departure. Passengers are encouraged to check-in via web or mobile check-in or come as early as 3-4 hours before departure for baggage drop.
Web check-in and mobile check-in is available between 48 hours and 90 minutes before the flight departure, with the option to print out the boarding pass or get it on mobile phones.
Passengers with pets as check-in baggage can check-in online (mobile or web) and proceed to the counter to make payment for the pet (AVIH / PETH).
Baggage allowance
For economy class tickets, 30 kg (66 lbs.) and 158 cm (62 inches) is the limit. For business class, 40 kg (88 lbs.) and 158 cm (62 inches) is the limit and for first class, 50 kg (110 lbs.) and 158 cm (62 inches) is the limit.
Apart from Free Baggage Allowance (FBA), passengers are entitled for Cabin Baggage Allowance as well.
