About Bahrain Air

Bahrain Air was a privately owned national carrier based at the Bahrain International Airport. Set up in July 2007, Bahrain Air initially operated alongside the state-owned pan-Gulf airlines Gulf Air to meet the increasing need of low cost carrier among Indian population living in Gulf region. However, in February 2008, Bahrain Air commenced its operations as a separate entity offering about 110 flights across 17 destinations worldwide. Major regions served by Bahrain Air flights included Africa, South Asia and the Middle East. The second flag bearer of Bahrain, after Gulf Air, Bahrain Air was replete with a modern fleet of aircrafts comprising Airbus 319s and Airbus A320-200s. The two types of aircrafts had the capacity to accommodate 126 and 162 passengers respectively across their Economy and Premium class services. For the entertainment of its passengers, the airlines offered an in-flight magazine called Reesha. Other on-board services offered by Bahrain Air included meals and refreshments. The airlines also had a frequent flyer programme called Loyalty Rewards Program that offered several benefits to the members of Bahrain Air.
